Structured data generator (JSON-LD)

Structured data isn't text for people but an explanation for machines: who the business is, when it's open, how much the product costs. It's what brings opening hours, prices and expandable questions into search results — without it, a page is just text the search engine has to guess about.

  • 6 markup types
  • Ready-made JSON-LD
  • Runs in your browser

How to use the tool

  1. Choose the type

Local business for a location with an address, organization for a company without one, article for the blog, product for the store. Under each button you'll see what it's for.

  2. Fill in only what's true

Empty fields are left out of the code — a missing field is better than an empty value. Closed days aren't included in the opening hours, and days with the same hours are merged into one line.

  3. Add the code and test it

The code goes into the <head> section of the relevant page. The button opens Google's official test, where you can see whether the markup is read and whether the page is eligible for a rich result.

Frequently asked questions

Eligibility for rich results — star ratings, price and availability, opening hours, expandable questions. Your spot in the results becomes bigger and more noticeable, which raises clicks at the same ranking.

Not directly. Google states clearly that markup is not a ranking factor. The effect comes from clicks: the same position with a price and stars gets more visits than a bare blue link.

In the <head> section of the page it refers to. Product markup belongs on the product page, not the homepage — otherwise Google rejects it as not matching the content.

No. Markup must describe visible content. Questions the visitor can't see violate the guidelines and lead to a manual action against your rich results.

JSON-LD is the format Google recommends. It sits in one place in the <head> and doesn't get tangled with the page markup, so it doesn't break with every design change.

No. It makes the page eligible for one, but the decision of when to show it remains with Google and depends on the query, the device and the quality of the page.
