No. The code is static — the link is encoded in the image itself and works as long as the page it points to exists. There is no intermediary that can switch it off.
Yes. The file is yours — it can go on an ad, packaging, a brochure or a shop window with no additional conditions.
A practical rule: each side should be at least one tenth of the distance it will be scanned from. For a poster scanned from two meters, that means a code of about 20 cm.
The three most common reasons are text that is too long, a print that is too small and no white margin around the code. Leave a white border of at least four modules and test the code in the exact spot where it will be placed.
